Federal Reserve Hints At 'Substantial' Rate Cuts

The Fed hinted at further rate cuts, which will be a further boost to investors. A rate cut is certain at the Federal Reserve's meeting, scheduled for the end of January. The question is how much? The story is at CNN money.

Only to the extent that you expose yourself over and over again to annihilation, can that which is indestructible arise within you. In this lies the dignity of daring.

Thus, the aim of practice is not to develop an attitude which allows you to acquire a state of harmony and peace wherein nothing can ever trouble you. On the contrary, practice should teach you to let yourself be assaulted, perterbed, moved, insulted, broken and battered -- that is to say, it should enable you to dare to let go of your futile hankering after harmony, relief from pain, and a comfortable life in order that you may discover, in doing battle with the forces that oppose you, that which awaits you beyond the world of opposites.

The first necessity is that you should have the courage to face life, and to encounter all that is most perilous in the world.

Only if you venture repeatedly through zones of annihilation, can your contact with something greater, which is beyond annihilation, become firm and stable.
